CanPower Programs
PrePower Ages 5-8
They should be able to skate forwards, walk backwards or have completed CanSkate Stage 5/6
Focus is on correcting and enhancing skating posture, form and technique, both forward and backward, with the addition of speed and power.
Power Youth Ages 9+
Should have passed Level 1 of the CanPower Program or mastered fast forward crossovers, forward 180° pivots, backward snowplow stops, and reverse pivot turns. On the full ice surface for greater speed and power.
Pre Star / Star 1
An introduction to figure skating upon completion of Stage 5/6 of Canskate or upon discretion of the coaches. Guided warmup, group lessons and practice stations while learning the fundamentals of figure skating, helmets worn until completion of Stage 6 of Canskate
Star 2-5 - some group lessons, skaters work on skills to prepare for a variety of levels in Dance, Freeskate and Skills, private coaching is required
Star 6-10 - skaters work on skills to prepare for a variety of advanced levels in Dance, Freeskate and Skills , private coaching is required
Adult Skating

Canskate/StarSkate Program
Ages 16+, meant for the adult learner
Learn to Skate as a new beginner OR improve your skating skills as this program addresses many levels
A professional coach leads skaters through a 50 minute session that includes a warm up, lesson and practice time
